Megan’s Career Journey
Joining the Compliance Team
Megan D’Rozario joined Care First 24 Ltd in May 2023 as part of the Compliance team, where she played a key role in ensuring candidates completed all the requirements before starting their roles with the company.
Recruitment and Onboarding
Building on this experience, Megan progressed into a more candidate-focused position, supporting the recruitment process by engaging with applicants and onboarding.
Resourcing
She then transitioned into a resourcing role where she helps match candidates with opportunities within Care First 24.
Starting a Career in Care
When Megan joined Care First 24 in 2023 she had never worked in the care sector previously and had come from a sales background, which gave her transferable skills, particularly in recruitment, communication, and building relationships.
Megan joined with an open mind, a strong work ethic and a strong willingness to learn.
Shadowing and Gaining Experience
As Megan’s experience developed, she worked closely alongside one of Care First 24’s Recruitment Consultants/Care Managers, shadowing them and gaining a greater understanding of every aspect of the role.
Supporting the Wider Team
She went on to provide cover during periods of maternity leave, annual leave, and other staff absences, demonstrating her ability to apply her knowledge and adapt to new responsibilities.
Promotion to Recruitment Consultant
Her continued development was recognised within a year, and she was promoted to Recruitment Consultant.
Recruitment Consultant and Care Manager
Megan has now been a Recruitment Consultant and Care Manager for over two years.
Her role involves managing care packages, recruiting, and supporting healthcare professionals, working closely with local authorities, and, most importantly, building lasting relationships with service users and their families.

Looking Back
“Looking back, I’m really glad I took the chance on a sector I’d never worked in before. Care First 24 has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come.
