
Debbie McQuillan joined Care First 24 two years ago as a Care Delivery Resourcer, where she played a key role in supporting the consultant team. Coming from a highly competitive face-to-face and telephone sales background, this position was a natural fit and allowed Debbie to utilise her strong communication skills.
With excellent listening skills and a keen attention to detail, Debbie supported consultants in an extremely busy sales environment. Her responsibilities included advertising packages of care across platforms such as Indeed and other job boards, as well as resourcing, screening, and vetting suitable candidates to work within individual care packages. With her ability to maintain high standards throughout her work Debbie quickly became a valued member of the team.
Care First 24 offers many opportunities for career development, and Debbie’s loyalty to her role, and making things happen helped her stand out. As a result, she was offered the opportunity to move into a payroll position, a role she carried out for three months. During this time, Debbie continued to support the sales team, demonstrating her flexibility and commitment to the business.
At the beginning of 2026, Debbie progressed into her new role as Care Coordinator. In this position, she has full responsibility for managing her own packages of care. This includes sourcing dedicated and compassionate teams of carers, managing rotas, shifts, and timesheets, and working closely with the Clinical Lead to ensure the smooth running of care packages and the well-being of both the people in our care and the Care First 24 staff.
Debbie is thoroughly enjoying her new role and particularly values the rewarding nature of overseeing an entire care package from start to finish.
Debbie joined Care First 24 for the opportunity to grow within her role and progress into new and demanding positions within the business. She is never one to sit back when there is work to be done, and with her ‘can-do-attitude’ she has quickly become a valuable member of the team.
