  • Night & Long Day shifts (primary requirement)

About the Role:

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Paediatric Complex Carers to support various on-going and very complex paediatric clients as part of care packages within the family home. This role is focused on Long days and night shifts, providing high-level clinical and personal care to ensure the child’s safety, comfort, and wellbeing throughout the night. 

You will work alongside other trained carers and/or nurses, delivering consistent and responsive care in a supportive home environment. This is a highly rewarding role suited to someone who is calm, attentive, and clinically confident in managing complex airway and medical needs overnight. 

Required Competencies & Experience:

Applicants must be trained and confident in the following: 

  • Tracheostomy care 
  • Tracheal and oral suctioning 
  • Oxygen therapy (night care) 
  • Seizure management 
  • Gastro-jejunal (GJ) feeding 
  • Medication administration 
  • Stoma care 
  • Manual handling 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in complex paediatric care 
  • Confidence working within a care model 
  • A caring, patient, and reliable approach 
  • Ability to remain vigilant and work effectively during night shifts 
  • Comfortable working in a household with a dog
