We are absolutely thrilled that our Registered Manager, Lynn James-Wellings, at Care First 24, has won the prestigious Outstanding Director Award category at The Stars of Social Care, which was held at the Leonardo Royal Hotel, London, St Paul’s, on Friday, 12th June 2026.
The purpose of these awards is to honour the dedicated individuals and teams who make independent living possible, delivering outcome-focused, person-centred, compassionate care and support that transforms lives. Whether offering practical support, emotional care, or vital companionship, their commitment enables people to maintain their independence and stay connected to their communities.
Lynn James-Wellings is a true inspiration to her team at Care First 24 Ltd. She is a recognised leader in domiciliary and complex care, with over 30 years dedicated to improving quality, strengthening the workforce and championing person-centred practice. As Managing Director of Care First 24 Ltd, she has shaped a clinically robust, values-driven organisation known for innovation, compassion and exceptional care outcomes.
She has used her skills, knowledge and dogged determination to not only grow Care First 24 from scratch in January 2022 into a profile-pioneering business with nearly 200 staff, but also reinvested operating profits to create a provider that is innovative and provides care that is personalised and compassionate.
What an incredible evening celebrating excellence in social care, surrounded by so many inspiring finalists and professionals who make a difference every day. Amongst the finalists was Jayne Easterbrook, who is our Training & Development Director at Care First 24 Ltd. Jayne was shortlisted in the Training & Development category. Well done, Jayne, and congratulations to everyone who was nominated and recognised – you are all amazing.
