Care First 24 are currently seeking a Paediatric Complex Care Assistant who can access the Oxford area on a new package of care. We are offering market leading pay rates and are looking to build a supportive care team to work with this young person. You will be supported by our inhouse Paediatric / Children’s Clinical Lead as well as experienced Paediatric / Children’s Care Coordinator in delivering a solid care experience for the young person and families involved.

Care First 24 are a complex care provider for both physical and mental health needs across the UK and support those with PHB’s, CHC funded, case management as well as private clients. We have a new package of care available for a Paediatric Complex Care Assistant in Oxford:

Shifts:

  • 3 x Nights – 20.00 – 08.00 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)

Outline on condition:

Medical History

  • Hereditary Motor Sensory Neuropathy- SMARD variant,
  • Scoliosis,
  • Poor weight gain,
  • Dependence on cough assist and nocturnal ventilation,
  • Bilateral hip dysplasia,
  • Spinal surgery October 2022

Care requirements:

  • Nippy 4 (NIV),
  • Cough assist,
  • Observations,
  • Oral suction &
  • Nebulisers (when unwell),
  • Moving and handling,
  • Medication administration

We have a stringent but fast registration process and our inhouse Training Team can provide additional training for the specifics of this Paediatric / Children’s package as long as you have relevant Paediatric / Children’s care experience.

Training program and shadow shifts will be undertaken on the ward before any potential discharge.
